What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

I have founded and managed multiple companies in the US, the Netherlands, and Turkey. While managing finances, I tried many different tools, but as a founder without an accounting background, I struggled to find one that was easy to use. Most of the time, I encountered difficulties during the setup process. That's why we began our journey at Smart Clerk—with the promise of building an accounting tool that feels like magic from the moment you onboard and start using it.

What problem is your product solving and how?

Preparing financial documents like income statements from raw bank and credit card statements is hard, complicated, and time-consuming. For tax returns, every company—small or large—must spend many hours each year on this task, time that could be better used to drive the company's success.

What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?

Product feedback, new use cases, understanding what our users do as a next step after Smart Clerk so we can expand new offerings.

What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?

We want to collect feedback from our users and build a better roadmap based on their use cases.
